Its been a pretty good couple of days for DC area sports teams. The Caps finally won in Philly, with Ovechkin seeming to come out of his slump. The Wizards won, with Arenas coming out of his one game fog. The Terps football team beat Clemson, with the defense coming out of their run stopping slump. Plus they have their first AP ranking in over 2 years....23....Jordan-esque....hell I'll be happy if they go to the Mr. Clean Toilet Bowl. Last but not least, the Skins won over Dallas, with Brunell, if not coming out of a slump, forced to look downfield this week. Oh yeah and Portis broke is slump of never scoring vs the 'Boys as a Redskin.
The only thing tarnishing this weekend of sports is DC United getting dumped 0-1 by the New England Revolution....BOOOOOOO.What happened to the home and home series thing??? One and done? The MLS is stupid. Proves to me how Americans just don't deserve their own professional league. We have 7 game series in baseball....you can spare another game for the conference finals....STUPID.
